Sessions
How your thread maps to one active session, and what `/new` does.
Your thread with Sauna maps to one active session at a time. Keep texting and you stay in that session; text /new and you start a fresh one. Old sessions don't vanish, they just stop being the default target.
- One thread, one live session. Your thread points at one active session, and your messages feed into it until you change targets.
/newresets the pointer."New session started."comes back, and future messages open a new session. Prior sessions stay saved and still show on Dashboard.- Swipe-reply keeps you in the old session. Reply-to routes you back to that message's original session, even if your active session has moved on.
- Everything shows on Dashboard. Sessions from iMessage appear in the web app's Dashboard with an iMessage tag. Filter by iMessage to narrow the board.
- Scheduled tasks can fire here. Set a scheduled task's Send to option to iMessage and each run delivers into your thread as a fresh session.
- No idle expiry. A session stays current until
/newor/unlink. Sauna doesn't time you out after silence.
